The Dachshund And The Doctor

Hello Everyone! It’s me,
Sampson the lovable mini Dachshund.

I must tell you that today was a very high anxiety day for this mini Dachshund.  Mommy had to go to the doctor today. The doctor……that’s the same thing as the vet!!!! Do you know what they do when you go to the doctor/vet? Do you? The doctor gives you NEEDLES! Aaahhh!!!!!

Needles aren’t the only thing either, I’ve got news for you. One time I went to the doctor, I took a nap and when I woke up, I had this cone-shaped torture device on my head. It took my Mommy and Pop Pops days  and days before they could finally get the device off of my mini Dachshund head.

It was terrible, I would try to walk, but I kept banging into the doorways. I don’t get it, it looked like I was going to clear them, then BOOM, I’d walk right into them!

They were so comforting and reassuring while I had it on. They kept telling me that they were going to figure out a way to get it off. I still don’t understand why the doctor would even put the cone of torture on me.

And you know what else they do at the doctor? They cut your nails! I don’t want to go to the doctor again. And when you finally get home, you are one stressed out mini  Dachshund!

Mommy is so brave. She actually left for the doctor appointment all by herself! I was SO worried about her while she was gone.

I kept calling for her and looking out the window. Pacing back and forth, calling out and looking out the window. Finally she came back from the doctor.

WHEW! She didn’t have a cone of torture on her head! Oh, thank you!
